MapBiz: ESRI To Partner With Chinese Water Supply Firm

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) firm ESRI announced yesterday that it has formed a strategic relationship with one of China's largest water development and operations companies. Under the agreement, Beijing Capital Company, Ltd., will implement the California- based company's ArcGIS enterprise software solution for its water development projects in China.

Beijing Capital Company, Ltd., develops and operates urban water supply and wastewater treatment facilities. The firm, which currently has a daily water treatment capacity of more than 6 million tons, says it hopes applying ESRI's GIS technology will help improve efficiency and quality.
