Suit Asks Court To Shutdown Google Earth
Skyline Software Systems Inc. has asked the court hearing its patent-infringement lawsuit to suspend access to Google Earth until the suit is resolved. The Arizona Republic reports that Skyline made the request in papers filed Wednesday.
Skyline sued Keyhole Corporation back in May, 2004 alleging patent infringement. Google was added to the suit when it acquired Keyhole later that year. In its filing, Skyline says the action is needed because it is suffering "irreparable harm" from the alleged infringement and is likely to win the patent case. Google has until January 18th to respond.
